Ok so Louly set the challenge this week over at Dotties World - I want you to make something (it doesn't have to be a card) and embellish it with flowers of some description. You can use flowers in your image or in the pattern on your paper but there must still be a flower(s) forming the main part of the embellishments, it could be silk or paper flowers, brads, buttons you get the idea right? As always Dottie's World challenges must have one of the Charmed downloads on them somewhere. Well yet again time has run away with me so I am just in time with this one as I have to go to work this afternoon and still have to find and iron something to wear! lol but cards must come first! So we have George with his barrow of flowers, which are little metal ones I picked up somewhere a long time ago! George is coloured using wc pencils and sakura glase pens mounted on to blue cs with daisies punched out, backing paper is Pm then I added a peeloff sentiment mounted on paper then cs and the final touch was a few daisies using the same cs and punch with a tiny bit of sakura startdust (blue) added. TFL now to find some clothes wish that was as much fun as card making! Til tomorrow then. x

Well over at SCSC they challenged us to use decoupage, its not something I do a lot of but I remembered I had these cute Margaret Sherry Collection teddies that were a magazine freebie quite some time ago so I thought I'd use one of them, mounted on some dark green cs teh background paper is another freebie, the ribbon and snowflake brad are from my stash and I added some glitter and I'm actually quite pleased with the result! (makes a change, lol) Ria had hoped to join this challenge too as she has been putting together some dufex decoupage but time just ran away with her this week due to lots of homework! I really must have a count up of my christmas cards and see how many more I need to make! TFL
I loved this sketch at Friday Sketchers as soon as I saw it and will no doubt use it again and again but for this challenge I turned it around as it gave me the purrfect opportunity to use Lady Pusskins from the Animal Magic collection the papers are pm (2 different xmas collections) some red metallic card adn some starry vellum, I have trimmed a skeleton leaf adn cut quickcutz snowflakes edges inked in a coppery ink and some pm adhesive stones added to finish it off. Lady Pusskins has been coloured using wc pencils and sakura stardust pens. TFL Hopefully more time to craft tomorrow as today kind of disappeared! lol

Whoo hoo! yesterday my fantastic mum ordered me a new camera which is for my christmas and birthday and it has arrived today! How good is that! It looks amazing too, its the Fuji finepix S8100fd - its 10 megapixels and has an 18x optical zoom - totally awesome! (can you tell I'm excited! lol) My other camera which has been fab is only 3 megapixels with 3x optical zoom.
Here is the card I made for Adrian, papers are pm, silver peeloffs and the awesome drumming George and into the large drum I added the fantastic circle sentiment that the very talented Karen very generously made available to us over at Dotties World it really made me smile and was timed perfectly for me use here - mind you not so sure Adrian agreed with me! lol Right my paperwork is finished so now my time is mine!
Well yes I now have 2 days off but have a streaming cold to contend with and paperwork to complete for work before I can get down to crafting! Its DOH birthday today and I will upload his card later, didnt take a pic til late last night. Right time to do paperwork. TT4N

the ABC Challenge this week is R is for Ribbon and over at Spoon Full the theme is Blooming Marvelous. Now I dont usually do a 2 in 1 but time this week is going to be short so thought I'd do this instead of not entering. For this card I have used Raspberry Road Designs paper Sassy Lass, the ribbon is from my stash, the vellum quote is from DCWV nature stack which I then embossed with BS texture plate mounted onto coredinations cs with eyelets from my stash and the 2 flowers are made with coredinations cs cut with Daisy thin cuts die held together with tiny flower brad (pm I think). TFL Hope you have all had a good weekend, I didnt get as much crafting done as I had hoped but at least I got some done! 2 late shifts and a days chrsitmas shopping coming up at work this week then off Thursday and Friday Yippee!
PTW challenge this week was This weeks challenge is Snow! Anything snow related - snowmen, snowflakes, snowy scenes etc! so I have used my Anitas snowpeeps stamp on mountboard tag in true red then heat embossed with silver pearl to give it a shiny pink look, coloured with sakura and whispers and some glitter added, wire through the tag and mounted on some free digi papers by Digi Designs by Nicole these papers are part of a collaboration kit and the whole kit is gorgeous, then I added some ribbon a flower a brad and snowflake peeloffs from my stash. (Think I need some finer glitter!) TFL

Over at MTTC the challenge this week went ... This week's challenge is called 'Its Raining, Its Pouring...! We have had such wet weather lately we thought it would be very appropriate! We want to see your 'Rain' cards! The DT work is wonderful as always and here is my attempt, its Dottie & George puddle love and I diamond glazed the puddle (as I've seen done so effectively by others), I added glizt to the hearts on the brolly with sakura stardust pens and matted it coredinations embossed with a fiskars texture plate then sanded, ripped along the bottom then from some freebie paper from a magazine I cut the daisy from a 'thin cut' and added a heart shaped button cut from the coredinations card using a sizzlit die and finally added a gold peeloff, background paper is PM. TFL
Well Nicola set the challenge over at Dotties World this week and it went like this ... My Challenge is:-Fur or Feather.Using a download,i want to see either fur or feather, it could be from Animal Magic, dress up dottie or the reindeer etc,but if you dont have a set with one in, you could just add a feather or make something furry!!but be sure to add a download too. And with some absolute stunners by the DT how could I not have a go but as per normal I'm cutting it fine! Well I used Angel Dottie and substitued her wings for feathers mounted her onto blue embossed coredinations, cut some Quickcutz snowflakes from the same card and moutned this onto a gate fold A4 card which is shiny and embossed with Merry Christmas and Christmas trees (I got it at a craft show in Exeter a few years ago!), then I added some blue organza ribbon and the card is held closed with a little BG magnetic closure (I bought these recently without really thinking about how I would use them!) and finally added some blue gems. TFL

Great sketch again this week over at sketch Saturday and I've only just managed to get it completed in time! I've used pm papers, Dottie & George dressed up as Rudolf from the Bumper Christmas Collection, pm adhesive stones and some metallic green card from my stash. TFL
Another fabby challenge over at SCSC this week which was We would like to see a cute image and button(s) on your creations. I chose Dottie dressed as a robin from the bumper christmas collection over at Charmed Cards (went with the pre coloured image) printed her onto cream cs after adding the sentiment in PSE5 then layered her onto red card from the pm wonderful christmas time papers, which are also the green, the striped bit and the holly leaves which are quickcuts then added the red button from my stash. TFL

This card I have made (just in time) for the challenge over at a new blog challenge by the very talented Sammi called Crafty Muse go on over and check it out. For the first challenge Sammi gave away a lovely downloadable image called Angelique as the challenge was to use Angelique (you can also buy more images of Angelique to download) so here is what I came up with ... paper is Artylicious Filigree Fusion, paperpieced her dress using some handmade paper with metallic design in it (sort of reminds me of indian stuff) then added ribbon, flowers and brads from my stash and coloured a silver peeloff with orange permanent whisper pen to make it the same colour as the brads. TFL. Right thats me done for tonight I am feeling somewhat tired but looking forward to the fact that I have the next 3 days off but must try and fit in a little bit of housework between crafting sessions!
Ok I really should be in bed but I just had to get this finished tonight and its for the sketch over at Friday Sketchers. Have used Raspberry Road Designs Papers, Dottie and the Snowman (pre coloured, coredinations cs, embossing, ribbons, flower and brad from stash and some silver peeloffs. It took me a while but I was determind! TFL

Ok the theme this week at CCT is Red & Green so I thought Dottie Claus was a good option, I used a pre cloured version and also added some gifts just behind her all from the Chrismtas Bumber Collection available at Charmed Cards then I used my new PM wonderful christmas time papers, the border along the bottom is punched but cant remember what its called and finished it off with a merry christmas greeting cut out from some of the paper. TFL

Only just made it again! Blame DOH as I had planned to craft my Monday to my hearts content but NO! he got rained off and had other plans so we spent the day sorting Rias room and moving it all around in readiness for her vivarium and bearded dragons, so I have spent tonight trying to catch up. Anyway I have completed a card for the challenge over at Spoon Full of Sugar and the challenge was to make a card for a child so I thought I'd have a play digitally with a lovely kit from Raspberry Road Designs called Bubby Collection, it is a freebie kit and I had fun with this as I havent done much digitally recently. I changed the opacity of the clouds so they have the appearence of vellum (well they do look a bit more like it IRL!) added drop shadows for more depthand printed it onto photographic paper. The pic is taken without the flash as I had to much glare with it! Am quite pleased with the end result. TFL and now it really is time I went to bed! Goodnight to you all. x
Monday, 17 November 2008
Great festive theme of 'Snowmen' over at MTTC this week and I'm not sure if I got mine finished quite in time but I have done it, I've used PM flower and background paper, mulberry paper on the tag, buttons from my stash, a bit of wire through the tag, ribbon from my stash and a little tree fastenator. The snowman is cut using the xcut impress die through the sidekick. I think I should have edged the tag to make it stand out a bit more but its too late now coz if I try and do something to it I will end up making a huge mistake! TFL, hopefully back a bit later.
Sunday, 16 November 2008
But alas I have to! I had hoped to have finished one card this morning but not quite so it will have to wait til tomorrow now as I'm just about to get changed and toddle off to work for the late shift! Hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday and enjoying some creative craft time. Bye for now. x

Over at PTW Dawny P has given us another fabby sketch so I set to tonight and this is what I came up with. Papers and image are Joanna Sheen Victorian Christmas cd and I added some cream cs, ribbon freebie and a little cut 'n' emboss circle for BS, its actually an envelope seal but I like it as an embellishement too. TFL and now to bed!
The challenge this week is inspired by fireworks and, as we were limited to one colour last week, this week I want to see LOTS OF COLOURS on your cards - the more the merrier! As usual, you must include one of the Charmed Downloads too, so get those papers out and start creating!!! So said Juliet this week over at Dotties World. What a great challenge! I used Raspberry Road Designs Kaylabugs paper, black paper pre coloured Goth Chick Dottie from Charmed Cards, an old flower from my stash cut in half, black glaze pen and red metallic pen with pink peeloffs. The white funky rectangle was cut on my xyron pc after I had printed Dottie, I keep forgetting about the shapes on there so I really must make some templates and have a bit of a play with them. TFL

A great sketch again over at SCSC and lovely work by their DT. My card uses PM papers from the Wonderful Christmas Time paper pack (got it yesterday even though I'd said to myself no more papers! well you can never have too many papers can you ?! lol) circles cut using xcut circle cutter and xyron pc machine, tree is a sizzlit, sanded the edges of the papers and added a peeloff. TFL and now I'm off to bed, I've got an early shift tomorrow then I MUST do my Dotties Challenge card! So until tomorrow, goodnight. x
Another lovely sketch over at Sketch Saturday my attempt uses Raspberry Road Designs Snow Blue papers, silver holographic card, the snowman is actually cut from a piece of glossy photographic paper which I then embossed with swiss dots, tag, gem stone brad and peeloff as PM and ribbon from my stash. Right must dash need to get another card done before I go to bed tonight for Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge as I'm on the early tomorrow! TFL and bye for now.

What a fantastic challenge over at Stamp Something this week - Simple Somethings. Make us a card using only one layer of cardstock. You can embellish it, stamp it, color it, do anything you wish, but you must only use one layer! That's easy right!!?? It wasnt that easy as I couldnt get it right til my 3rd attempt! but I got there eventually, so - white card blank embossed with CB winter scene folder, small silver peeloff at the bottom and a circle sentiment from Dotties Bumper Christmas Collection available at Charmed Cards which I have recoloured and resized in PSE5 then I added some ribbon and a small silver heart brad. Not sure if the photo really does it justice but I am quite pleased with this one for its simplicity, so thanks for a great challenge. TFL

Over MTTC the challenge this week was "coffee & cream" and I've just managed to complete it in time! The paper is a free digi paper by UKS Scrapdolly (yay I can print again!), the sentiment is a DCWV vellum quote stack torn and inked, flowers are PM and I coloured the smaller one with my whispers pen to suit the colour scheme a tip I picked up from the very talented Becky Thanks for that one Becky. Then I added a little wooden button to the bigger flower. TFL and as you can tell I now have a printer up and running well almost, I got a 2nd hand one and am just waiting for a new colour cartridge to arrive to make sure that all is well as the yellow isnt working properly at the mo so hopefully over the next couple of days I should have a new cartridge and be able to get back to normal! what ever normal is!lol Right thats me done for the weekend, back to work tomorrow on a late so you never know I might be able to fit something in before I go but I do have a cj page to finish first! Good night all x

The challenge at PTW this week is inspired by all the bonfire and fireworks displays there have been lately! lol Simply sparkling - glitter, gems, or anything that is simply sparkling or along a bonfire/fireworks theme! My background paper is a piece wich I have had forever and I dont remember whose make it is, ribbon is from my stash, the gems as from the £1 shop, mirricard is from a small block I bought a few years back , the tag is cut from mountboard on the BS and the poinsetta is an anitas stamp coloured with fake H2os! Hope its sparkly enough!, had trouble getting a decent pic of it. lol TFL
When I first saw the sketch and DT over at Sketch Saturday this week I thought it looked fantastic and the examples were brilliant but I couldnt see how I was going to make it work for me! I've spent the whole week trying to suss it out and finally now we have arrived at Friday I've done it and I'm actually quite pleased with it! Papers are all MM cosmopoliton collection, the image is another from the Animal Magic collection the tag is PM as is the rub on on the tag (one that actually worked!), ribbon and brad from my stash. TFL
(P.S The rub on is actually from MY stash Ria xx )
Couldnt resist this weeks challenge at CCT where they want to see fairies or angels and having just got Fairy Dottie she had to be the star of this card. Coloured using wc pencils and sakura stardust pens in traditional christmas colours, removed the flowers and she is holding a couple of PM velum tags with peeloffs on them matted onto some scraps of green and red card, swiss dots embossing, faux stitching and PM background paper. TFL

Oooh I just love the colours for this challenge over at SCSC so didnt expect to have any problems til I realised all my fave papers for this colour combo are on my pc and my printer is definately not playing! :( Oh no what was I to do, well after much scrabbling around in my paper drawers I managed to find something suitable then found some coloured card to tie in with it and I decided to cut some cs ribbon on Robbie from a template made by a UKS called Silene, d'vine swirls embossing folder used and another of the fabulous images by Louly from the Animal Magic collection over at Charmed Cards, even though it wasnt the papers I wanted I'm quite pleased with this and must make more use of Robbie! TFL
Right I'm about to head off to bed but thought I'd post this one quickly as I totally lost track of time while I was making it! Its for the challenge over at FS papers are PM, the image is another adorable from Animal Magic this one is called Henry Hare, coloured with wc pencils and sakura glaze pens, flowerand brad are PM and ribbon was free with a mag way back! TFL and thanks to everyone who stops by and leaves a comment I really love reading what you all put and it encourages me to carry on so a really big thanks to you all. Night night. x

Over at CCT this week the challenge is ... to make 'Drink' themed cards, any type not just alcoholic ones! So how could I resist! backing paper is from a piece I printed from Artylicious Fantasy Floral, the glass is cut on Robbie using a great template from UKS by Lindyloulou which I then covered with some scraps of green and red handmade papers, Dottie in her hammock chilling with a glass of fizz is coloured using wc pencils and fixed in position with a couple of star brads from stash and the cheers is cut from another scrap of paper using the xyron pc machine. Didnt quite turn out how I had envisaged it but how often do they!? lol TFL
Craft Stamper Magazine now have their own blog, and it has some great blog candy to giveaway as their launch (especially if you like PB stamps! I like 'em but dont have any yet so will keep my fingers crossed!) Will be watching this with interest.
Sunday, 2 November 2008
Over at Spoon Full of Sugar this week the challenge is ...This week we would love to see some Sparkle and Bling on your creations ... So here is my attempt. Donald Donkey from the new Animal Magic collection over at Charmed Crafts coloured in using wc pencils, paper is PM as are the butterfly gems and the ribbon is from my stash. I just love Donald he is so cute! TFL
Fantastic challenge by Adele over at Dotties World this week that goes like this ... Black, white and a splash of .........COLOUR!!! I want your creations this week to include one or more of the Charmed Download images and to be only 3 main colours. Black, white and one colour of your choice. You can use as many tones of grey and of your chosen colour and you can obviously use a skintone and haircolour ( I am feeling generous! LOL )but that's it. Well as you know my printer is not behaving as it should and all my favourite b&w papers are on disc! so had to compromise and printed out my own backing paper, the bathtime Dottie image has a glazed bath to give the impression of the old enamel baths adn the splash of colour is obviously the yellow of the duck and the stripe then I used black cs and yellow corrugated paper and finished it all off with some black adhesive stones. TFL
Saturday, 1 November 2008
I just couldn't wait to use these so I didn't! The print quality isn't as good as it should have been but at least I persuaded it to print! Changed these little song birds into robins and changed the sentiment to make it more christmassy, mounted onto green cs, background paper is a freebie from a mag sorry cant remember whose make and I added little adhesive stones. I've made this for this weeks PTW challenge which is a sketch by the very talented DawnyP. TFL
You have to go and check the latest download out from Charmed Crafts its called Animal Magic and they are by the very talented Louly, and yes I've got them - well how could I not! They are fantastic I love 'em and can see loads of potential when my printer wants to play! Its limping around so I might be able to print of a b&w image for the time being. But GO CHECK 'EM OUT!
