OSAAT ~ As You Like It ~ Start of the Christmas Club

Only just managed to get this card made in time for the challenge over at OSAAT which this week is As You Like It and is also the start of their Christmas Club ~ yes I know it is only January but hey ho nothing like being organised! lol  Pop over to the challenge blog and find out all about it, but hurry!

Anyway on to my card, it is only a simple and quick one but now I've done it I rather like it!  I have used a piece of paper from a very old paper pack which I think is K & Co and I only have some oddments of it left, well I mounted it onto a gold card (had forever too! lol) and then I added a stamped sentiment in gold ink which is from the Daisy & Dandelion kit from 2 christmases ago so I have really made use of my old stash tonight for this one!

Thanks for stopping by my internet seems to be staying with me (for the time being anyway!lol)

Crafty Sentiments Challenge ~ My Favourite Things

Ok so here at last is my post for the challenge over at Crafty Sentiments this week which is a nice easy one for you all ~ use your favourite things.  I have used a few of mine and I have included paper piecing using some digi papers (another favourite) this one is from Crafty Sentiments store Delightful Christmas Collection, I used my copics to colour with, added glitter to the wings and added some extra elements using brads & eyelets.  The cute image is Taski which is available as a digi stamp over at Crafty Sentiments Store as are the papers and the sentiment ticket (I have altered the wording for that).

Patches & Stitch

I have made a card using another of the fabulous new stamps which are available from the Crafty Sentiments Store.  This one is of Patches & Stitch and it looks like they are on their way to a birthday bash.  They are part of an A5 set of stamps and they stamp and colour up really well.  I have used my copics and added just a touch of sakura stardust.  I have used my pink copic (RV06) to edge the card too and colour the little flower which is a new stamp from the cupcake freebie set on the docrafts Creativity magazine, I have then mounted it on a little black circle and finished it off with a clear dome sticker.  The paper and S/A ribbon are Dovecraft - hint of pink set and the little silver sentiment topper I got from The Works.

Anyone For Anya ~ Use 2 images ~ GDT

I was lucky enough to win a recent challenge over at Anyone For Anya and as a result got the chance to be a guest DT member for the week.  Now when I found out what the challenge was going to be I was a little bit nervous as it was to use 2 images which is not something I do very often but hey isn't that the whole point of a challenge, so I sat there for a while flicking through my TGF images and wondering which images to use and how when suddenly it came to me I had a flash of inspiration - that doesnt happen very often! lol and this is the card that I made.  It is quite a CAS card but I am pleased with the overall result.  I have used Jeremy and Miko from the Roll Call Collection1 coloured with copics and a little stardust.  My background paper is a digital one from Raspberry Road Designs from a collection called Surreal, the sentiment is also TGF and is from the Spotlight collection and then I added a brick wall using coredinations cs and the Tim Holtz embossing folder which I then sanded. I hope you like it and can pop along and join in the challenge.

Anyone For Anya ~ Pretty Bows

This weeks challenge over at Anyone For Anya is Pretty Bows, now my bows dont always come out looking too pretty so I started off feeling a bit stumped til I remembered a little Cafe Creme cigar tin which I had decorated and used to put in ready made bows that I had bought or retrieved from other things! and there in the tin was the little bow I have used which has the little pearls on it so I knew I just had to use it, and now I have some other bows for other projects too!  I have used Fleur Anya which is a stamp I won recently and this is the first time I have used it.  I coloured her with  copics  and used the feathering technique for her dress (unfortunately I havent done it very well! lol) The paper is from the K Ology Addison paper pad and the cs is coredinations and the little flowers are Tiny Tots from Prima

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Sentiments Challenge ~ Vintage

Here we are its Thursday so that means challenge time over at Crafty Sentiments and this is one that I found a little more difficult, but I know loads of you out there will love this, the theme this week is 'VINTAGE' I have used another wonderful new image and this is Mushroom Bear, isn't he just so adorable? and available at Crafty Sentiments store,  I coloured him with my copics and then gently inked the card so it isnt so bright white, all the edges of my card have been distressed with a craft knife and inked.  The papers are new, I won them in the last Dotties World challenge and they are Bo Bunny Noel Collection Pack and I love the fact that although they are Christmas papers they can be used for other occasions too and they are vintage and distressed so definately fitted in with this challenge!  The ribbon, large flower (behind the image) peeloffs and the pearls are all from my stash.  So even though I dont really do vintage I am pleased with the way this turned out.

For some major inspiration and beautiful creations stop by the rest of the DT and then show us your vintage cards by joining in our challenge this week.  Go on You know You want to.  And we have another fabulous sponser again this week which is Digis With Attitude so check out the Crafty Sentiments Blog for all the details.

Anyone For Anya ~ Colour Challenge

Over at Anyone For Anya this week it is a colour challenge and as soon as I saw the colours I knew what image and papers I wanted to use, the only problem being that I really havent had a lot of crafting time this week between work and pc problems but I have managed to get it done and only just in time!  Anyway I have used copics to colour the gorgeous image of Hope & Gracw Class and used papermania Blueberry Hill papers, the sentiment is from the Birthday collection of circle sentiments from Crafty Sentiments the flowers and wire are from my stash and the leaves are punched.  I have mounted the image using foam pads for some added depth.

Crafty Sentiments Challenge ~ Thank You

Whoo hoo! did you have fun on the hop, we certainly did and what fab challenge entries this week we had too, it was great hopping round and visiting.  Anyway its Thursday so that means its time for a new challenge over at Crafty Sentiments and this week its Thank You, nice and easy for you huh?

I have used the new stamp Patches with Balloons, which is available at the Crafty Sentiments Store, coloured with copics and mounted on some blue cs which is then mounted onto some M&MBI paper stitched to some brown cs.  (now I had originally used my old sewing machine to sew this - old being the operative word and guess what its not working prperly so I ended up having to carefully unpick the random stitches! so rather than just leave it or throw it out I got some glittery thread and hand stitched it using the holes, labour of love! lol) The main backing paper is also M&MBI, the flowers, tag, gems and peeloff are all from my stash.

Well the rest of the DT have been busy creating some wonderful creations for you to look at and be inspired by, so dont forget to check them out and leave some love on the way.  Then check out the challenge and join us this week 'Go on You know You want to!'

Oh yes and dont forget Suzettes fabulous blog candy that I mentioned yesterday.

digi layout for challenge at Scrap That Idea forum

Wow I have just completed a digi lo for the Scrap that Idea forum and the challenge was a recipe but boy were there lots of ingredients and I have to say I did struggle to put this one together but hey thats the whole point of challenges isnt it!  Anyway I think I inlcluded everything I needed to.  The main kit I used is by A Work In Progress (aka Vicki) and is her kit Citrus Brights and then I added elements from some of Vickis other kits and also some elements from kits by Staceys Scraps both of these uber talented ladies are part of the awesome group of designers that make up Scrap That Idea.  Ria isnt impressed with it but then she wishes I wouldnt keep scrapping pics of her!  But hey scrapping our memories is the whole point!  lol (she doesnt mind really just being a teenager!lol)

I had fun with this one as I was using my new Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet so it probably took me longer than usual the pen is really sensitive and its taking a bit of getting used to but I really like it.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your celebrations.  We had family over for a buffet tea yesterday and that went ok and today I had planned a full day of crafting and guess what?  It just didnt happen! how surprising is that?! lol  I actually spent most of the day sorting out pcs and printers! still I have manged to have a project for the challenge this week over at Anyone For Anya, the challenge is Calendar page for February.  Now I made myself a calendar a while ago but havent yet filled all the pages with pictures so this was an ideal time to complete another one.  I have used the digi image from TGF of Wild Sprout Dressy Edward but I have only used his head, coloured with copics and put into a heart.  the paper is from my scraps drawer and is probably a digi piece but sorry dont know whose then I added some stamped words and a heart brad from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by.
